Monday goodness

Hey all....you might  be asking Monday goodness? How does that work? Well sometimes you just have to embrace Monday for what it is and find something good in it. I know that can be especially hard after a long weekend like our wonderful friends south of the boarder. I'm luckily that I have a career that I enjoy and I work for a great company. :)

Here is something that I found though that made me smile. Can you even imagine having a bubble bath in a tub made from amethyst? Luxury at its MAX! I personally think it would be pure heaven.

Speaking of bathtubs.....I am a BIG Seattle fan, I love that city. It has a wonderful arts scene, great restaurants, and amazing shopping. There are some great deals right now thru Alaska Airlines, from Edmonton and Calgary until. I totally recommend going for a long weekend, just a lovely city even in the rain. :) I HIGHLY recommend Hotel 1000, this is were the bathtubs come in. Each room has a massive pedestal tub that fills from the ceiling, which will give you a mountain of bubbles. The restaurant is also great, and I was served the BEST room service breakfasts during my stay.

I will have some photos from this past weekend coming up on Wednesday. The sale was a great success. Thank you so much to everyone that came down. Cheers.

Gleeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee-k

So I decided tonight I would watch Glee tonight since Gwyneth Paltrow is on. It's not that I hate the show, I just having troubles getting past all the obvious lip syncing and auto tune.....not to mention the song selection of Journey and Bon Jovi *gag*. Ms. Coldplay was pretty awesome though, if she comes back on again I will watch. :)

So here is a piece I have just finished. Well almost finished. I ran out of sterling silver crimp covers so I have to get some of those. The big beads are glass beads by me (naturally) with a sterling silver clasp and lots of freshwater pearls. I'm still having some issues getting a really good photo. :( But I did buy some new lights so hopefully I will have some time soon to set that up.

Today was the first day we've had that has really felt like winter. The temp dropped, snow started, and WINDY. Brrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr. I love the snow, I just wish the wind would go away! :) I did find these though. Seriously, how awesome are they? :)
Prefect for us Canuck girls.

Feeling blah!

Hola peeps. Hope everyone had a great Monday. My Monday was good, aside from feeling kinda blah. I've had this stupid lingering cold, and doesn't really want to turn into anything other then making me tired and and  stuffed up. Oh well, I am going to just ignore it and think healthy thoughts. I figure that way the cold will go away or it will peak so I have a good excuse to chill out and get better. It does have to wait though until after this weekend since my first bead making class. I did have 2 other classes scheduled but they got cancelled since there weren't enough people signed up. We are good to go this weekend though. :) If you're in the area and would like to learn, you can contact the City of St.Albert 780-459-1600

So here is my house link for the day. They are in Calgary, and are little generic compared to my normal tastes. But....and I know, it's totally impractical, but I am diggin' the white hardwood!

I'm hoping to have some time later this week to make some more jewelry. I did make some more "pandora" beads I just have to get around to getting some photos done. :) In the mean time check out this Etsy seller, I am going to order a few prints for den. :)

Happy November everyone. It always seems November is the real mark that winter is on it's way! Not that you'd really notice here...with all the sunshine. Have I mentioned how much I love summer? :) BUT winter can be good too. I got a nice selection of sweater dresses and boots so bring it on!

My work is getting busy again. I always have found it kind of strange that people get so into building houses when the weather gets cold. I am certainly not complaining though, cause I love to be busy. For those who don't know I design new homes. My official title is Architectural Technologist/Building Development Technologist. It's a big of a mouthful, so residential designer sounds better. :)Needless to say I am a little obsessed with homes and design. So with each post I am going to have a link to a cool house. So check out this beauty, from Klab Architect's in Greece.

Now onto the bracelet, this one has a mix of materials, glass pearls, glass beads made by me, sterling silver, clear quartz, Swarovski crystals. The clasp is a sterling silver heart.

All my items will be up on Etsy.com again soon for purchase, or you can see my items via my Facebook page.
