Time Flies...

Good evening everyone! Well today I met up the the very nice lady from the City of St. Albert to get everything ready for my first class. Which may or may not take place next Saturday. Fingers crossed we get enough people signed up. I am excited to teach again, it's always fun introducing people to something new, and the students are always excited. Today I spent a little time on the torch, I made some large holed beads that fit, Pandora and Troll bracelets and I also made some cabinet knobs. They are still cooling off in the kiln so I will post some photos tomorrow.

So here in north-central Alberta we are basically into fall. The leaves have turned color and are falling off, seemingly over night. I love summer. I am one of these crazy people that love the HOT weather...which I think we got a total of 4 days of. BUT a few things I do love about cool fall days.....wearing boots....hot chocolate...the corn maze...OK that's all I can think of for now. :) I highly recommend checking to see of the area you live in has a corn maze. It is so much fun to get a group of friends and family together and see who can escape the maze the fastest. The key though is to go as late a possible, dusk or full dark adds a little more excitement.

Here are a photo of some boots I just bought... :) I am in footwear love with them. <3

Long Weekend Fun!

Hey Hey World! I can't believe it's Friday night already, this weekwent so fast!
Last Saturday my boyfriend and I went to SONiC BOOM 2010. It's a rock music festival put on by a local radio station, and there were some great bands this year. Weezer, was amazing. I always really liked them, and now I love them! There performance is now in a tie for my favorite concert, tied with the Foo Fighters. :) I can hardly wait for next year!

For the past 4 days we've been tearing apart and painting our master bedroom and ensuite. It's taking longer then we thought, or we're just moving to slow. Maybe both. So I haven't had time to be creative. I have started a new necklace though. I'm pretty excited about it. So here's a teaser :) I need to get some fine silver wire so I can finish it. Hope you all have a great weekend. P.S. If you're looking for something to do tomorrow...come visit me at the 104st Farmers Market...9am to 3pm...104st and Jasper ave.

Cheers.

R.I.P. Summer

Now I know we still have several weeks of "summer" before autumn hits us. It's just always seems that as soon as I see school buses on the roads, and the Halloween stuff out in the stores, that's what really marks the end of summer. I <3 summer, the warm days, the green grass, the flowers, days at the beach, etc. I know we really didn't get much of that in the Edmonton area this year. But I suppose no sense dwelling on the past, now we must just hope for a mild fall, and a winter with plenty of good snow and days that aren't TOO COLD. :)

Anyways.......I have been a bad blogger already. Here it is a month and a half later and I am just doing my second post. I've been busy...forgive me? I am now resolute that I will update at least once a week. I am setting it for Wednesday night. The reminder is set up on my Itouch, and my Outlook so hopefully that will give me a kick in the bootie. Something new for my blog, I will have little links within the post. Most likely it will be just a single word, and the link will have to do with that word. :)

So I have been working on a bunch of new art projects, but nothing that's ready to show. Yet. I have been starting to make beads to fit Pandora bracelets. Here are a few of them. I'm hoping to make a bunch this weekend, along with some more cabinet knobs.
