New Posts

Good evening,

Finally I can start posting again! It's been forever but it seems my tech problems with Blogger are now a thing of the past! #knockonwood

I've in the thick of things with getting my log in problems resolved, it's seems I've lost a couple posts as well. :( Oh well, I'm not going to dwell on that. New posts coming very soon!

Happy 2011!

Happy New Years everyone!

Hope everyone had a great end to 2010, and is having a great start to 2011. One thing I love about this time of year is appearance of the SUN! It was pretty depressing driving to work in the dark and leaving work in the dark. Now there is a glimmer of beautiful sunshine :)

A friend and fellow lampwork artist, Carrie Hamilton (who has a wonderful blog), had a post last week of her cat and it's love of shopping bags. Well hers is not the only one. Here is my Winston, and his favorite shopping bag. :)
On the jewelry side of things over the holidays I wasn't super productive but I did manage to make a few new pieces and will hopefully have some time to post photos this week. I find necklaces, especially the long ones hard to photograph. I might need to just get a model. If you want to see more photos of my jewelery you can check out my facebook page.
So now that it's 2011, did you all make new year resolutions? I normally don't but I did decide to change that this year.
1) Visit more with friends, and get out and visit old friends!
2) Take some group fitness/sports classes. Already registered in a Kettlebell class starting in a couple weeks.
3) Start my Suburban artists group, more info on that comings soon!
4) Blog once a week! (Although I have said that before)

Monday goodness

Hey all....you might  be asking Monday goodness? How does that work? Well sometimes you just have to embrace Monday for what it is and find something good in it. I know that can be especially hard after a long weekend like our wonderful friends south of the boarder. I'm luckily that I have a career that I enjoy and I work for a great company. :)

Here is something that I found though that made me smile. Can you even imagine having a bubble bath in a tub made from amethyst? Luxury at its MAX! I personally think it would be pure heaven.

Speaking of bathtubs.....I am a BIG Seattle fan, I love that city. It has a wonderful arts scene, great restaurants, and amazing shopping. There are some great deals right now thru Alaska Airlines, from Edmonton and Calgary until. I totally recommend going for a long weekend, just a lovely city even in the rain. :) I HIGHLY recommend Hotel 1000, this is were the bathtubs come in. Each room has a massive pedestal tub that fills from the ceiling, which will give you a mountain of bubbles. The restaurant is also great, and I was served the BEST room service breakfasts during my stay.

I will have some photos from this past weekend coming up on Wednesday. The sale was a great success. Thank you so much to everyone that came down. Cheers.
